De Pere entrepreneur builds Divine Beer Pairings around beer and food
Amy Soquet of De Pere has issued a challenge to all of the wine tasters out there. Is it possible that beer might provide just as interesting of a creative experience? That will be tested at an event Nov. 13 at Mulva Cultural Center in De Pere: "Wine Vs. Beer – A Pairing Experience Where Wine & Beer Go Head-To-Head." (Register at divinebeerpairings.com.) Soquet, owner of Divine Beer Pairings , has been hosting events all over northeastern Wisconsin since starting the business in the summer of 2024. This is wine versus beer and we will see which is more favorable.” The answer might be both, but she is hoping to create some beer fans during the event. She acknowledges that there are beer tasting events held around the area, but she has a unique business model. Developing that model and creating a niche in the tasting industry began in 2020 when she became fascinated with the wide varieties and tastes of beer. While working at Door County Brewing Co. and Sway Brewing and Blending in
