New shop serving up local snack favorites

HONOLULU (KHON2) — A new family business is serving up local snack favorites in Aiea.

Aloha Creameryʻs Glenn Yamamoto gave Wake Up 2Day the details about their special ice cream, which comes in 20 flavors with a new flavor revealed each week.

Located in the Aiea Shopping Center, the shop also has popcorn which is a best seller. On offer are bacon and cheese, salt and vinegar, saimin and wasabi flavors. The popcorn is also offered as a fundraiser for sports teams and organizations.

Yamamoto was running the snack shop “Taste of Paradise” before he partnered with brother-sister duo, Justin Matsukawa and Stephanie Nonaka.

The store is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can visit their Instagram page for more information.
