KANSAS CITY, MO ( FOX 44 ) — The Baylor Men’s Basketball team is amongst the final four team vying for a Big 12 Tournament Championship, as the Bears locked up a spot in the semis with a win over Cincinnati.

The game featured as bad a start as Scott Drew and company could’ve drawn up, as the Bears didn’t hit a field goal in eight and a half minutes, as they got into an early 12-3 hole.

Despite the slow start, Baylor went into the break down by just two points, and the Bears then found their rhythm in the second half. A string of eight straight made shots early on in the half gave Baylor a lead that was as large as 14 points.

The Bearcats didn’t go away though, getting back to within four points with left than eight minutes left, but the Bears kept Cincy at an arms length the rest of the way to pick up a postseason victory.

It was a balanced scoring effort for Scott Drew’s team in the win, as all seven players that played scored a point, led by RayJ Dennis and his 13 points.

With the win, the Bears set up a matchup in the Big 12 Tournament Semifinals against Iowa State, with tip off in the contest set for Friday, March 15th at 8:30 pm.
