Grove student earns perfect score on ACT
GROVE, Okla. — A Grove student is part of the elite ranks of a handful of high school students across the county scoring a perfect score on his college entrance exams. Joseph Wang, a Grove junior, scored a perfect score of 36 on the American College Test, also known as the ACT.

Roads reopen in Miami while crews address flood leftovers
MIAMI, Okla. — Flooding continues to be an issue in Miami even as waters have receded. Although most of the water has dried up it has left 6 to 8 inches of sludge in parking lots as well as dead fish behind. City crews are in charge of scraping and hosing roads after floods in the Riverview Park and parking lots.

A brief tornado touchdown in Miami, Oklahoma last night has left some damage. Some homes were damaged and some trees knocked down. Photos taken by Miami Mayor Bless Parker showed trees down and structure damage. There are no reports of any injuries.

71-Year-Old Man Killed In Ottawa County Crash
A 71-year-old man was killed in an Ottawa County crash on Saturday, authorities say. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified the victim as Terry Brownen of Seneca, Missouri. The crash occurred on OK-10 and southbound US-60 around 5:38 a.m., OHP reports. Brownen was declared dead at the scene by emergency personnel.
