Huskies Look to Get Back on Track Against Vinita
The Pawhuska Huskies have dropped back-to-back regular season games for the first time that Coach Matt Hennesy has been at Pawhuska in more than five years. The Huskies don't want to make it three straight, but they play a Vinita team on Friday night that they lost to 40-16 last year. The Hornets are the largest team in Pawhuska's district and will be making a leap all the way up to Class 4A next year.
Sperry Pirates Turn the Tide, Win Against Vinita Hornets in Friday Night Game
During the third Friday night game, Sperry Pirates won over Vinita Hornets with a score of 23-14. Initially, the Hornets had the upper hand, scoring the first touchdown, leading 14-7. As the game progressed, however, the Pirates gained the advantage due to effective execution of their strategy. The turning point was an interception of the Hornets' pass, followed by an instrumental touchdown run that led to the Pirates' hard-earned victory.

The Dewey Bulldoggers fell to Vinita Friday night in a tough game that ended at 34-0. The scoring started early in the first quarter with the Hornets scoring on their first drive with a 14-yard touchdown pass, and that is the closest the game would be other than 0-0.
