Red Oak drug bust nets 3 arrests
(Red Oak) -- Three suspects are in custody following a drug bust in Red Oak Wednesday afternoon. The Red Oak Police Department says at around 3:30 p.m., officers conducted a search warrant in the 400 block of North 4th Street. Authorities say 54-year-old Kenneth Gerald Owens was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, gathering where marijuana is used, and possession of paraphernalia. Additionally, police say 47-year-old Chrystal Rush Stewart was arrested for gathering where marijuana is used and 60-year-old Robert Wade Abraham was charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, 2nd or subsequent offense, gathering where marijuana is used, and possession of paraphernalia.
Red Oak suspect booked for driving while revoked
(Red Oak) -- A suspect faces a charge following his arrest in Red Oak Thursday evening. The Red Oak Police Department says 24-year-old Brandon Lane Good was arrested shortly after 7 p.m. for driving while revoked. Authorities say the arrest occurred after officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1700 block of 200th Street.
Clarinda ceremony marks National Police Officer Memorial Week
(Clarinda) -- The Clarinda community paused Wednesday afternoon to honor law enforcement personnel killed in the line of duty. Taps rang out near the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Clarinda Cemetery Wednesday as members of the Clarinda Police Department and Page County Sheriff’s Office gathered to participate in a ceremony recognizing National Police Officers Memorial Week. Clarinda Police Chaplain Dr. Robert Keefer delivered an address during the ceremony. Keefer says law enforcement is akin to the rod and staff of a shepherd, keeping their communities safe.
