Students participate in veteran interviews at Cole's Museum
BANGOR--Students from Ellsworth got the chance to experience living history at the Cole Land Transportation Museum on Tuesday. Students sat with veterans from different branches of the military to hear first-hand what it was like to serve overseas as well as here at home. These veterans, who museum staff call Ambassadors of Patriotism, volunteer their time on weekdays to share their experiences with 5th-8th graders.

Shaw Institute plans to open to public, moves to new lab
BLUE HILL, Maine (WABI) - The Shaw Institute in Blue Hill is in the midst of some changes. “Our lab is growing so much that we had to move it to a new building in town. So, we figured this is such a wonderful location, we do a lot of really important work in the sciences, and so we’re going to turn this location into an environmental education center, and starting this summer, we’re going to open up with the addition of a new touch tank to bring people even closer to the ocean and we’re really excited to grow into this new phase,” explained Shaw Institute’s Executive Director and Senior Research Scientist, Dr. Charles Rolsky.

BANGOR - Despite three scoreless innings from both sides, Hermon softball took down Bangor on Monday night 7-0, snapping a two-game losing skid.
