(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Hundreds of high school teachers and faculty members in Libertyville and Vernon Hills say it's time for their superintendent to be dismissed.

When the Community High School District 128 Board of Education meets on Monday night, members of the D128 Federation of Teachers are expected to announce their overwhelming “No Confidence” vote in district Supt. Dr. Denise Herrmann, according to a statement released by the union on Monday.

Union officials said they intend to call for Herrmann’s immediate replacement.

About 90% of the 293-teacher union voted against Herrmann in a recent resolution. The measure accuses Herrmann of, among other things: misusing taxpayer funds, creating a chaotic and hostile work environment and violating a collective bargaining agreement.

Monica Caldicott, a 20-year library media specialist and the president of the union, said in a statement that “effective leadership is critical to student success.”

“During her nearly three-year tenure here, Dr. Denise Herrmann has repeatedly shown she is incapable of leading our district at this important time,” Caldicott said. “Our students, parents and taxpayers deserve much better, so we took this important vote to make our voices heard and urged the school board to take action.”

In response to WBBM Newsradio's request for comment, a spokesperson with the Community High School District 128 Board of Education said they "[hear] the concerns voiced by our teachers union and will process them together as a Board."

The spokesperson added the board would not comment further on a personnel matter.

District 128 includes Libertyville High School and Vernon Hills High School, and it serves over 3,200 students.

Monday night’s board meeting will begin at 7 p.m., and it will be livestreamed on YouTube .
