Year: Senior

Sport: Swimming

Comment: The senior won two CIF-Southern Section individual titles in record fashion at the Division 3 Swimming Championships at Mount San Antonio College on Friday. Seider captured the 100 freestyle in a meet-record 43.36 seconds and after breaking the 200 freestyle mark with a time of 1:36.45 during Wednesday's Prelims, set the record again with a time of 1:35.27 in the final. The Arizona State commit has won five CIF-SS titles in his sensational prep career in the pool. The Star’s two-time Boys Swimmer of the Year has also qualified in the 100 free for the U.S. Olympic swimming trials this summer.

JULIANNA GALBRAITH

School: Royal

Year: Junior

Sport: Softball

Comment: The junior right-hander pitched a two-hit shutout with six strikeouts to lead the Highlanders to a 3-0 win over Irvine-Beckman in a CIF-Southern Section Division 3 first-round game Thursday. Royal will play at Charter Oak in a second-round game Tuesday. Galbraith is 12-3 with a 1.17 ERA with 89 strikeouts in 102 innings this season for the Highlanders.
