Rose student receives Civic Local Foundation Scholarship
J.H. Rose High School senior Hunter Nelson has receive a Civic Local Foundation Scholarship Award from Civic and Local Government Federal Credit Unions. This $5,000 scholarship is awarded to 25 deserving students based on their academic performance and commitment to their communities. It will support education expenses, paving the way for a successful educational journey. Nelson, one of three Pitt County Schools students recognized in 2023 for achieving a perfect score on the ACT, plans to pursue a career as an aerospace engineer. Since its establishment, the foundation has awarded nearly $3 million in scholarship funding, supporting professional development and higher education.
