Man trapped in burning bed in Michigan house fire, rescued by sergeant
VAN BUREN COUNTY, MI -- A man was rescued after he called 911 to report he was stuck in a bed that was on fire. About 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, a resident of the 50000 block of 29 1/2 Street called 911 to report the bed he was on caught fire, and he was unable to get off the bed and into his wheelchair.

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. — Fire crews rescued a man from his burning bed in his Antwerp Township home early Tuesday morning. The Van Buren County Sheriff's Office (VBCSO) said around 2:30 a.m. a man called 911 and said his bed was on fire but he couldn't get out of it and into his wheelchair. Crews were sent to his home in the 50000 block of 29 1/2 Street, deputies said.

DOWAGIAC, Mich. - UPDATE: The Van Buren County Sheriff says a call came in at 6:13 p.m. for a fire at the Ramona Roller Rink, now believed to be caused by lightning. Witnesses say they saw a bright flash of lightning, and then reported a few minutes later seeing the building on fire.
