Five high schools in Cuyahoga County will soon be powered, in part, by solar energy
CLEVELAND, Ohio – Five Cuyahoga County school districts will soon get a share of their energy needs from the sun. The county’s Solar for Schools program will provide $100,000 each to school systems in East Cleveland, Maple Heights, Euclid, Cuyahoga Heights and one other district yet to be named.
Teaching staff at Ohio preschool all quit, cite issues with admin
(NewsNation) — An entire preschool’s teaching staff in Ohio quit recently after losing faith in their administrators. The last day of preschool at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ Preschool in Amherst was last Friday. While the tight-knit teachers said they’ve dedicated their lives to helping children learn, they felt forced to exit the small school after being at odds with the church council for months.

Michael-Adams is an English Language Arts professor at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C), Brunswick, Ohio. Michael-Adams encourages children to grow and become aware of their environment while ensuring they learn. One way she does this is through essays.
Local student at Baldwin Wallace garners Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference accolade
BEREA, Ohio — Jensen Wolfe (Somerset/Sheridan High School) is one of 80 Baldwin Wallace University spring sports student-athletes to be named to the 2024 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference Team. In order to be selected as Academic All-OAC, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA. A student-athlete may only receive Academic All-OAC on three occasions. The 80 student-athletes include 12 from baseball, four from men’s golf, 12 from men’s lacrosse, six from men’s tennis, 11 from men’s track and field, eight from softball, three from women’s golf, four from women’s lacrosse, four from women’s tennis and 16 from women’s track and field. Of the 80 selections, 11 are three-time Academic All-OAC student-athletes, 29 are repeat selections, 40 garner their first selection and nine have a perfect 4.00 grade point average.
