Rome community rallies to help dogs find their ‘fur-ever’ home
ROME — The City of Rome and the Humane Society of Rome have rallied the community to come together for a good cause. Both agencies took over the Kennedy Arena at 500 West Embargo St. in Rome on Saturday, where dozens of dogs could be seen wagging their tails and barking in excitement to meet their future families and find their “fur-ever” homes. The event was a way to showcase the many animals that both the city and the human society are sheltering, and to seek out people and families looking to adopt.

UTICA, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — A Utica man is in custody after an incident at the Oneida County Office Building in which he pulled a knife on a construction worker. Oneida County Sheriffs were called to the office building’s parking lot on Park Avenue at approximately 9:30 am on Wednesday, May 1.
