Kuyahoora Valley resident charged with aggravated DWI, Troopers say
RUSSIA- A resident from the Kuyahoora Valley area is accused of aggravated intoxicated driving, authorities are reporting. Charles E. 10 Displaced By East Utica House Fire
A total of ten people have been displaced after a fire tore the second story of a two-family home in East Utica. Utica Firefighters say no one was injured injured in the Sunday afternoon blaze at 518 Wetmore Street. Arriving firefighters reported heavy fire and smoke billowing from the second floor and extending into the attic. Ultimately, a large hole was cut in the roof to allow for ventilation.

Serial Vandal Charged with Multiple Counts of Criminal Mischief
UTICA, NY – On Tuesday, May 29, 2023, officers from the Utica Police Department apprehended a male suspect in connection with several instances of criminal mischief. Savion Woodard, 18, of Utica, was identified as the suspect in a May 18 incident involving property damage to a vehicle on the 700 block of Mary St. Woodard was also implicated in at least three other reports of random criminal mischiefs over the last several weeks, including an incident where objects were thrown at a residence, breaking the front window. A 29-year-old woman has died after the UTV she was riding in overturned in Bridgewater Friday night. Oneida County Sheriff's deputies responded to a property on Stone Road in the Town of Bridgewater at 8:20 p.m. where a UTV driven by 32-year-old Jeffrey Dickenson of Ilion had flipped onto its roof while Dickenson was trying to make a turn.

Utica man arrested on child endangerment charges
UTICA, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – A Utica man was arrested on Wednesday, May 31 after an investigation into alleged explicit text messages he sent to a child. According to the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, a report was made directly to the center on the morning of Tuesday, May 30 after an explicit text message was sent to a female child less than 17 years of age. An investigation into the incident found that the suspect – 31-year-old Fabian Troutman of Utica – had allegedly sent the message.
