Iowa hospital CEO to retire
Michele Schoonover will retire June 7 as CEO of Vinton, Iowa-based Virginia Gay Hospitals and Clinics, according to an article published on communitynewspapergroup.com. Ms. Schoonover is a 44-year veteran of the hospital, according to the article. Her LinkedIn page shows she has helmed the hospital since 2019. Before that, she worked as director of general services. She also previously worked in purchasing and, at the beginning of her career there, as a radiology technologist, according to the article.
