NJ historic preservation officials intervene in Libby's Lunch sale and demolition
PATERSON — Not so fast — that’s essentially the message a state official sent to Mayor Andre Sayegh on Monday about his plans to sell the Libby's Lunch property. The New Jersey Historic Preservation Office, or HPO, told Sayegh it needs to approve the proposed $850,000 sale and may impose restrictions on what can be done with the property.
First ever pet-friendly homeless shelter opens in the Bronx
NEW YORK – New York City has opened its first-ever pet-friendly homeless shelter. For the first time, residents living in a New York City shelter won't have to leave their beloved pets behind. The Uplift Families Residence in the Bronx has 161 units that can house approximately 587 people.
