Quakertown athletic director Kalazs stepping down after 15 years
After 15 years as the school's athletic director, and a lifetime of being a part of Quakertown, Sylvia Kalazs will be retiring from the position at the end of the school year. A 1975 Quakertown graduate, where she was a three-sport standout in field hockey, basketball and softball, Kalazs returned to her alma mater in 1985 to teach physical education and also coached the field hockey team until 2000.
