Union Native Publishes Her Third Novel

UNION, NJ – A Union native has just released her third novel, a young adult novella.

Caitlin Goerlich said she has enjoyed writing since she was a young child.  “Every time a new story idea comes to mind, I always just want to write it out and see where it goes. The more ideas I get, the more motivated I am to write. And boy, do I have a lot of ideas.”  She said seeing people’s positive reactions and thoughts to her books keeps her wanting to continue writing.

About her third book, “Chat Room Love”, Goerlich said she doesn’t recall how she came up with the story, because “I wrote it as a fanfiction when I was in high school. But I will say that sometimes ideas just pop into my head, so that might have happened with this one as well.”

“Chat Room Love” follows a young girl named Jessica who is called a geek and a loser, said Goerlich.  Jessica has no friends aside from her brother.  After logging onto a chat room, she meets someone who helps her feel like herself, “not the nerd or loner who gets picked on”.  Their relationship grows over time as they chat online, but what will happen when they meet in person?

"The Silent Summer" and "Love in the Game” are Goerlich’s first two books. She also has a coloring book called "Use Your Imagination Coloring Book #1."

Goerlich said in addition to writing books, she has also been getting involved with recording videos for her YouTube channel. She is also on Patreon, where she posts longer versions of her reaction videos and exclusive writing content.
