GREENCASTLE, Ind. — Deputies arrested a Greencastle man for child exploitation. The Boone County Child Abuse & Sexual Exploitation Task Force got a tip May 7 from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that a post on X depicted a child engaged in sexual activity with an adult, later identified as Bruce A. NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — Hoosiers who recently bought a Powerball ticket in Noblesville should check their ticket. A $50,000 winning Powerball ticket was sold at an AJ Quick Mart location in Noblesville after Wednesday’s drawing, according to a news release from the Hoosier Lottery. The ticket matched four out of five numbers, as well as the Powerball, in Wednesday’s drawing.
CAUGHT ON CAM: Police free goose from fishing line
A police officer in Indiana cut a goose free from some fishing line wrapped around its feet after what his department described as a “wild goose chase.” The officer had been patrolling the area when he came across a goose who had fishing line wrapped around its feet and was blocking traffic, the Frankfort Police Department said. The officer “and a Good Samaritan both worked together to catch the goose after a short foot pursuit,” police said. Bodycam footage released by the department shows the officer using a pocketknife to cut the line off the goose, while another person held it still.
