Anti-terrorism exercise held at Fort Harrison
FORT HARRISON, Mont. - May 22, Fort Harrison in Helena held an anti-terrorism exercise to go over readiness and emergency procedures in the event of a terrorist incident. "It's just a chance to exercise different portions of our response procedures," said 1 Lt Eric Huebner, the Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection Officer with the Montana Army National Guard.
Dillon man faces multiple rape charges from separate victims
A 24-year-old Dillon man accused of multiple rapes from separate victims was arrested Friday and appeared Monday in Beaverhead County Justice Court. Chase Lee Kitchen is charged with a total of four felony counts of sexual intercourse without consent and one felony count of aggravated intercourse without consent between four different cases; he faces up to life in prison on the most serious charge.

Internet task force commander shares safety tips with Dillon students
Montana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Commander Brian Cassidy gave a presentation to around 200 School District #10 fifth through eighth graders last Thursday on the dangers of seemingly simple devices like cellular telephones and other internet-enabled devices. Both at the school with the students and at a parent presentation later that night, Cassidy explained how predators utilize the users own data against them and how it can turn into a negative experience in a child’s life.
SD#10 bids adieu to longtime member Jed Petersen
Those in attendance at last week’s May meeting of the School District #10 Board of Trustees witnessed a changing of the guard of sorts as Jed Petersen retired from his volunteer position of service as a trustee having served 15 years on the board.
