    Police searching for person of interest after man found dead in Tuscaloosa

    TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ( WIAT ) — Tuscaloosa Police Department is investigating a possible homicide that happened outside of a local Alcoholics Anonymous building.

    On Tuesday, officers responded to 2025 Jack Warner Parkway on reports of a body found. The victim was identified as Russell Thomas Andrews, 62, and detectives suspect foul play in his death.

    According to TPD, investigators are searching for a person of interest who was last seen around 10 p.m. Monday.

    The only name for the subject known so far is “J.P.” and his last name may be “Patrick.” He is described as a white male in his 50s with dark hair and eyes. He stands at 5’11″ and weighs around 180 pounds.

    He wears glasses and often wears a soft hat. He may be missing toes on one or both feet and walks with a limp. This person is reportedly homeless and has been in the Tuscaloosa area for several weeks.
