Richland Library Company exhibits local folk artist’s works
The paintings of William Harrison Atkinson, 1895-1978, folk artist of Bucks County, are featured in an exhibit from now until July 31, at Richland Library Co., 44 S. Main St., Quakertown. The paintings exhibited include the “Oldest Home in Richland Township,” a “Quilting Bee” with participants identified, “Fishtown” and “Licking Run Creek,” the Fluck home and family, Haycock Mountain, and many others donated for this exhibit by individual owners, the Richland Historical Society, and Richland Library Company.

Get to Know David Robertson, Founder of Joshway
David Robertson is wearing a moon man on his wrist. It’s a tiny astronaut on a bracelet that bobs and bounces as Robertson grows more animated while describing the designer, five-year-old Sage O’Ava Tatem of Allentown. “I want to see her bracelets on everyone’s wrists,” Robertson says. His nonprofit foundation, Joshway, is helping to make that happen while also assisting another young artist, Ema, find a wider customer base for the T-shirt she has designed. “It’s empowering them to see their art go from canvas to apparel, and then giving them other platforms to express themselves,” Robertson says.
