The Belfast Police in Belfast, Maine reported two incidents between November 16 and November 30. Noah Weeks from Canaan fled from police Tuesday afternoon after officers tried to stop his vehicle for illegal attached plates. Police said Weeks ran away into the nearby woods. Island Police for week of Dec. 7
A report of a loud basketball game drew police around 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 3. Officer Boucher reported a group of youth and young adults playing basketball “unreasonably loud” behind Harbor House on Main Street. Most had been drinking alcohol or using cannabis, but Boucher found neither. He warned the group for illegal consumption of alcohol and cannabis products. Parents of the youth were notified of the incident.
