Memorial Day storms knock out power for thousands in North Jersey
Strong wind gusts from a series of rainstorms knocked out power to thousands of New Jersey residents on Monday afternoon including several hundred in Morris County. Almost 400 homes in Randloph and about 200 in Denville and Parsippany were without electricity as of 3:20 p.m., according to Jersey Central Power & Light. About 100 customers were also without power in Morris Plains.

Morris County Clerk’s Office Offers Online Property Alert Service
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ - The Morris County Clerk’s Office offers a free online service that notifies property owners when a document using their name is recorded. According to the County Clerk’s website, this is the first step in protecting property owners from property and mortgage fraud. According to data from CertifID, an Austin-based technology company aiming to combat wire fraud, more than 1 in 20 people were the victim of fraudulent activities during the home-closing process.
