Bulloch County Animal Services and Petco Love invite community to 'Jump into Joy' through pet adoption

Bulloch County Animal Services is inviting local animal lovers to “Jump into Joy” and meet pets looking for loving homes during Petco Love’s national pet adoption weekend on November 7 and 8, 2026. National nonprofit organization Petco Love is partnering with Warner Bros. Pictures Animation as part of this national pet adoption campaign featuring characters from the new full-length animated The Cat in the Hat (in theaters November 6), encouraging people to discover the joy of bringing a pet into their lives through adoption from local shelters and rescues like Bulloch County Animal Services. Bulloch County Animal Services will have all of their adoptable pets available at the shelter, including several kittens. The adoption fee is $50 to adopt a dog and $30 to adopt a cat. Adopters need a valid state ID and to be 18 years old or older. All pets come up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered, if not spayed/neutered then they come with a voucher to get spayed/neutered for free. Le Flâneur at Recess Hotel & Club: a new French brasserie in downtown Savannah

Savannah has a new French brasserie, and it’s in one of the prettiest buildings downtown. Le Flâneur is the ground-floor restaurant at Recess Hotel & Club on Johnson Square, at the corner of Congress and Bull. The building was an office tower until recently, and what they’ve done with it is stunning. The second-floor common areas are my favorite part. If you remember the old First City Club overlooking the square, this is what became of that space.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Seven local artists will public murals expressing the theme Starland Soul to be unveiled Friday, Nov. 6 at Mural Fest at Savanah Village. The mixed-use development on Bull Street in Starland District commissioned a Georgia-themed mural by Sam Malpass for the face of its building. Mural Fest will be held in Artist’s Alley, on the north side of the building, where the murals with interpretations of Starland Soul will be permanently displayed.
