HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The Marshall Thundering Herd baseball team used a four run 7th inning to help beat the Ohio Bobcats 7-4 Wednesday night at Jack Cook Field. Jack Firestone hit a home run for the Herd and Herd pitching held Ohio to just five hits in the game. Marshall improves to 16-32 overall this year while Ohio falls to 14-29. Both teams return to conference play now as Marshall goes to James Madison while the Bobcats travel to Miami of Ohio.

OHSAA announces preliminary winter sports divisions and representation
COLUMBUS — The Ohio High School Athletic Association has announced the preliminary divisional breakdowns and regional tournament representation for the 2024-25 winter sports postseason tournaments. The OHSAA Board of Directors approved the new divisions and tournament representation for all winter sports except wrestling at its April board meeting, which included the previously announced fall sports divisions.
