Pinpoint Yellow Alert Day | A few strong storms possible Thursday
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - It has been a busy week across much of the country as severe weather has threaten areas from the Central Plains, the Midwest, and into the south. The severe weather threat will continue today across the deep south, but the chance for a few strong storms does extend back into the Mid-Ohio Valley once again. The threat, just like Wednesday, is on the low end. A marginal (1 out of 5) risk for severe thunderstorms is in place across the entire region. This means that an isolated severe thunderstorm will be possible. The main threat will be damaging winds, but an isolated hail and tornado threat cannot be ruled out. Our thunderstorm activity will pick up during the afternoon and into the evening. By time we get into tonight, that will all die out and we will be left with some showers. Those showers should also be gone by around midnight.

Though the Band Shell isn’t a major structure, for many of us it is iconic and has provided fond memories of City Park.
