Becky Taylor gives emotional farewell to the KSNT family

TOPEKA ( KSNT ) – KSNT Stormtrack Meteorologist Becky Taylor is saying goodbye Thursday as she moves on from KSNT 27 News.

May 2 is the last day for Taylor who has helped track weather in northeast Kansas since July 2019. She first joined the KSNT family in 2015 before taking a leave of absence to raise her two daughters.

Taylor is leaving her position at KSNT to spend more time with her family and on her farm. She spent Thursday morning with KSNT 27 News Morning Anchor Matthew Johnstone looking back over some of her fondest memories while working at the station.

“Thank you all so… much, really from the bottom of my heart, it has been such a pleasure to get to be with you all every single morning,” Taylor said.

In her free time, Taylor enjoys spending time running her small farm with her husband where they grow their own produce, raise animals and manage honeybees. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in atmospheric science in 2015.

In January 2024, Taylor earned the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) designation from the American Meteorological Society in appreciation for the quality of her weather broadcasts. The CBM is a mark of distinction and recognition among radio and television meteorologists.

We wish Taylor the best in her future endeavors and will miss her dearly!
