LAKEWOOD - A man who police believe was involved in more than 15 burglaries across Lakewood and Toms River has been arrested, and four firearms were found in his possession, authorities said.

Christopher Green was arrested on Wednesday, according to Lakewood police.

Between March 30 and April 6, Green was allegedly involved in over 15 burglaries that occurred in the two towns, and on at least one occasion he was armed with a handgun, police said. Additional information developed by Lakewood and Toms River detectives identified residences in Toms River and Neptune, as well as several motor vehicles associated with Green.

Court-ordered search warrants were executed, resulting in the recovery of money taken from several of the burglaries, police said. Additionally, authorities seized four firearms, including an AR-15 and a submachine gun.

Green now faces a total of 17 criminal charges, including first-degree robbery, second-degree armed burglary, conspiracy and multiple weapons-related offenses, police said.
