Serious injuries reported in rollover crash on I-84 in Tolland

TOLLAND, Conn. (WTNH) – Serious injuries have been reported after a single-car rollover crash Monday morning on Interstate 84 in Tolland.

State police said troopers responded to the crash just before 10 a.m. on I-84 eastbound in the area of Exit 69.

A preliminary investigation showed a 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe was traveling eastbound in the left lane when, for an unknown reason, it swerved right across three lanes of traffic, then off the roadway before rolling over and striking a tree.

Police said the driver removed himself from the vehicle before officers arrived to the scene.

Serious injuries have been reported and state police said LIFE STAR was requested.

A portion of the highway was shut down at Exit 68 due to the investigation, but opened by 1:45 p.m.
