Tennis ball-sized hail pounds Pecan Plantation
As storms rolled over Johnson and Hood County Thursday evening, the community of Pecan Plantation took a direct hit from hail stones the size of golf balls and tennis balls. “It sounded like bombs were hitting the top of the ambulance. Granbury ISD Bond Fails, Republican Party Chair Arrested for Felony
For the third time in two years, voters declined to approve a bond proposition for Granbury Independent School District (ISD). On May 4, the bond proposal totaling $161.5 million was defeated by about four hundred votes out of 10,224 ballots cast, according to the unofficial results posted on the Hood County website. The election turned out over 20 percent of the registered voters, a fairly high turnout for an election without any state or federal offices on the ballot.
