In a crackdown on illegal weapons and drugs, a routine traffic stop by Harris County deputies took a sharp turn ending with two arrests in the suburban streets of north Houston. Deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office pulled over a vehicle on April 30, in the 22900 block of Koback Corners Street; they encountered more than they had bargained for as they approached the vehicle, an unmistakable whiff of marijuana tipped off the search, according to a Facebook post by Constable Mark Herman's Office.

Drug trafficker sentenced to 25 years in prison, Galveston DA says
GALVESTON, Texas (KIAH) – An international drug trafficker has been sentenced to 25 years in prison according to Galveston County’s Criminal District Attorney’s office.
