A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for certain regions in southeastern Texas, including southwestern Montgomery County, northern Waller County, and northwestern Harris County. The warning is in effect until 515 PM CDT due to a severe thunderstorm moving southeast at 25 mph, which is located near Hempstead and is expected to cause quarter-sized hail and damage to vehicles. The impacted locations include Hempstead, Prairie View, Hockley, Waller, and Pine Island. The maximum hail size indicated by radar is 1.00 in, and the maximum wind gust is less than 50 mph.
