Wills Point’s Sprague advances to knockout round at Oklahoma bass fishing tournament
EUFALA, Okla. (KLTV) - Wills Point native Jeff Sprague has advanced to the Knockout Round of the Bass Pro Tour Millertech Stage Four in Oklahoma. Sprague had five catches for 13 pounds, eight ounces. That, combined with his seven catches for 19 pounds, two ounces, was enough for a ninth place finish in Group B.
Terrell golf team takes first in final tournament
The Terrell Tigers golf team of Kayden, Jesus, Dax and Gray took first place in their last tournament of the 2024 season. Jesus took first individually with a score of 70 (-2) and Kayden takes home second place individually with a score of 72.
Poetry Community Christian School’s Annual Swing Fore the Green Golf Tournament
Poetry Community Christian School is hosting its Annual Golf Tournament, Swing FORE the Green, on Friday, June 14 at Buffalo Creek Golf Club. Registration begins at 7 a.m. with a Shotgun Start at 8 a.m. Proceeds support the school’s Pioneer Activities Center which includes a middle and high school gymnasium, fully-equipped sports weight room, and a 45’ Christian Soldiers Karate studio to serve the school’s 60 karate students 2nd – 12th grades. The Center also houses team rooms, classrooms, and the expanded music department, while providing scheduling opportunities for elementary sports and extra-curriculars in the school’s current multi-purpose building.
