A potent thunderstorm is set to affect areas of northwestern Jefferson, southeastern Cotton, and northern Clay Counties until 7:30 PM CST. As of 6:52 PM CST, Doppler radar identified the storm 8 miles southeast of Randlett, moving eastward at a speed of 30 mph. The storm carries the risk of 40 mph wind gusts and hail the size of a penny. The radar data suggests that these gusty winds may cause minor damage by knocking down tree limbs and blowing around unsecured objects. The areas likely to be affected include Waurika, Ryan, Petrolia, Byers, Sugden, Taylor, and Charlie. The maximum hail size expected is 0.75 inches, with the highest wind gust reaching 40 mph.
