THPD: Investigators trying to identify pedestrian killed by train in Terre Haute

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Update : The Terre Haute Police department has confirmed that detectives are still working Monday to identify the deceased pedestrian in this incident.

Once person is identified and next of kin have been notified THPD will provide further information regarding this incident.

Original : A man is dead after being hit by a train Saturday afternoon in Terre Haute.

According to a post by the Terre Haute Police Department, the incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of 13th and Deming Streets. A male was struck by a train and was pronounced dead when officers arrived.

Police say the investigation on the scene has completed, and more information will be released as they continue to look into the incident.
