The victim of a deadly crash over the weekend in Templeton has been identified.

Brian Olson, 25, of Stow succumbed to injuries he sustained after the dirt bike he was riding collided with a car in the area of 712 Patriots Road (Rte. 2A) at about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.

Olson died two days later, according to a GoFundMe page created by the family. On the page, Olson is described as a “son, brother, uncle, nephew, coworker, and beloved friend” who enjoyed driving and restoring trucks and discussing machinery and snowmobiles.

Video of the crash, which was recorded by a neighbor’s security camera and viewed by The Gardner News, showed the dirt bike colliding with the vehicle which was taking a left turn into the parking lot of the Candlelite Café. The footage shows two other dirt bike riders immediately arriving on the scene while the vehicle involved in the collision continues slowly into the parking lot before coming to a stop.

The driver of the car would not be cited with any moving violations in connection with the incident, according to police.
