Teenager's homicide under investigation in Temple, Texas

TEMPLE, Texas — A homicide investigation is underway following the discovery of a deceased 16-year-old male in the early hours of Tuesday.

Officers from the Temple Police Department, while patrolling the 4300 block of Lions Park around 1:10 a.m. on May 21, came across the teenager lying in the road with a gunshot wound. No additional injuries have been reported at this time, and there is no immediate threat to the community.
