The parents of Sheila M. Dickey-Lee, of the graduated Bandera High School Class of 2014, would like to announce her beginning service to the United States Air Force.Dicky-Lee graduated Basic Training on November 21, 2023, at Lackland Air Force Base, where she then proceeded on to Tech School for Security Forces, completed on March 11, 2024.Sheila's first duty station is at Minot, North Dakota, AFB where she, her husband and three sons have relocated.We thank her for her service and send best wishes to Sheila and her family.Courtesy Photo ...
Local residents, mother hold vigil for missing Lakehills woman
Roughly a dozen concerned citizens gathered outside the Bandera County Courthouse on Mother’s Day Evening with signs spelling out “Where Is Jordan.”Jordan Tompkins was reported missing in April 2022 walking along Park Road 37 in the Lakehills area. The Bandera Democratic Club met on Saturday morning at the Silver Sage Community Center Cafeteria to hear from Nancy Dyer, a member of the Hill Country League of Women Voters.Dyer, who is also a member of the Democratic Club, spoke about the history of the League.The Hill Country League is 45 years old this year.
