City of Kerrville set to release 2024 Solid Waste Calendars
The 2024 Residential Solid Waste Calendars will be mailed Friday, December 8 to all city residential customers who receive solid waste services through the City of Kerrville. Other fall 2023 academic accomplishments include 15 out of 17 athletics programs having a team GPA of above a 3.0, 99 student-athletes being named to the Dean’s List, and 77 student-athletes being named to the President’s List.
Dates announced for annual trout restock in Louise Hays Park
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s A.E. Wood Fish Hatchery is providing two stockings of rainbow trout this winter, with its first release scheduled for Tuesday, December 19, with 1,200 rainbow trout. An additional 1,200 trout will be released on Wednesday, January 17, both occurring in the Guadalupe River in Louise Hays Park. The rainbow trout stocking is timed with winter water temperatures dropping below a level necessary for the survival of the trout.

Livestock Quiz Bowl champions
Plum Creek 4-H students traveled to Kerrville last week for the District 10 Livestock Quiz Bowl and brought home first place. The students included Plum Creek’s Lillian Dillon, Blakely Scott, and McKeana Frey, as well as Homeschooler Riley Hale.
