Martin County baseball host Easter tourney

Martin County baseball traveled to Tarboro on Tuesday, April 2 to play North East Carolina Prep.

Martin County came to play ball on Tuesday scoring six runs in the first inning with NECP not scoring any.

NECP went with no runs scored for the entire game.

Martin county scored two runs in the second inning, six in the third, three in the fourth and five in the fifth to finish the game in five short innings.

The final score of the game was 25-0. Martin County had 16 hits and two errors on Tuesday.

Later in the day Martin County played the Northside — Pinetown Panthers.

The final score of the second game of the day was 15-8, Panthers win.

The following day on Wednesday, April 3 Martin County faced the Lawrence Academy Warriors.

Although a close game Martin County fell short with a final score of 13-11.
