As the San Antonio Spurs look to fill out their roster around Victor Wembanyama, they need to improve at a lot of different positions. Among them is on the wing, as 3-and-D help would be ideal. Jacob Douglas of Pounding the Rock floated a new potential targets, including Caleb Martin, Naji Marshall, and a few guys in the draft.
“Free agency should have a few players who can help fill that void,” Douglas wrote. “Naji Marshall, Caleb Martin and Isaac Okoro are interesting names. In the draft, Buzelis, Holland, Zaccharie Risacher and Cody Williams could become that type of player down the line.
“As wings continue to be an important position for team building, it makes sense for the Spurs to invest some draft capital to find a high-level player at the position.”
Any of the options Douglas suggested in his article could end up being valuable members of the Spurs’ rotation.

As Michigan State football continues to reshuffle and retool their roster, we will likely see some more movement today during the last day of the spring transfer cycle. The latest transfer was Ethan Boyd, a former 3-star offensive tackle from the 2021 recruiting class.
Boyd made three starts at right tackle last year, and the new coaching staff made a big push to bring him back in the fold, but the rapid development of redshirt sophomore OT Ashton Lepo might have led to Boyd to re-examine his options in the portal, or risk losing his spot to a younger player.

Michigan State football OT Ethan Boyd enters NCAA transfer portal

Victor Wembanyama was absolutely incredible in his rookie season with the San Antonio Spurs. He was one of the best defensive players in the league, and his offense came along, too. However, if the Spurs want to reach their peak, they need to make roster additions this summer. Jacob Douglas of Pounding the Rock believes three-point shooting is one of their biggest needs.
“As Wembanyama becomes a dominant presence inside, the Spurs need shooters who can space the floor around him,” Douglas wrote. “Double teams are always going to come the big man’s way. Wemby is a good passer who should be able to punish teams by spraying out to shooters. It’s imperative the Spurs prioritize acquiring shooters this offseason.”
The Spurs will have multiple opportunities to add shooters this summer, including in free agency, in the draft, and on the trade market.
If they can get guys who can reliably space the floor for Wmebanyama, their offense could reach a whole new level.
