UPDATE (MAY 12 DOUBLE HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION): TPD’s Violent Crimes Unit assumed the investigation and identified a crime scene that spanned across multiple businesses, all of which were without power due to the recent storm. In addition to the fatalities, an adult male and an adult female sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the shooting.

It is unclear at this time whether any of the victims were the intended targets. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are still under investigation, but preliminary findings suggest that a large group was gathered in the parking lot just before the incident.
