    Vote now for The News Tribune’s Girls Athlete of the Week for high school sports contests played April 22 to 27. Voting will remain open until noon Wednesday.

    The poll is located below. You can read about all of the candidates and their accomplishments below.

Email reporter Jon Manley ( jon.manley@thenewstribune.com ) or send a direct message on Twitter/X ( @manley_tnt ) with the athlete’s first and last name, school, year, position and a stat line from game(s) during the past week. Nominations must be submitted by 5 p.m. Sunday.

    Desi Bass, Silas softball — Hit two home runs and drove in six runs in win over Lincoln on Friday.

    Danica Butler, Auburn Riverside softball — Hit a first-inning grand slam to center field in win over Kennedy Catholic on Thursday.

    Sydney Chandler-Trent, Olympia softball — Hit the game-winning walkoff single in the bottom of the ninth, lifting Olympia over Sumner in a 4-3 win.

    Maddy DeClements, Gig Harbor softball — Hit the game-winning walkoff sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning in win over River Ridge on Monday.

    Jess Eaton, Bonney Lake softball — Drove in four runs on four hits in 13-12 win over Liberty on Wednesday.

    Kate Erickson, Stadium softball — Went 4-for-4 with three RBI and three runs scored in win over Lincoln on Monday.

    Anelia Fatuesi, Thomas Jefferson softball — Went 3-for-3 with a walk, four runs scored and three RBI in win over Federal Way on Wednesday.

    Sina Fuiava, Decatur softball — Drove in five runs on four hits in win over Federal Way on Monday.

    Hayley Garber, Graham-Kapowsin softball — Went 4-for-4 with a walk and four RBI in win over Emerald Ridge.

    Kaydence Griffith, Silas softball — Outfielder reached base in all five at-bats, going 3-for-3 with two triples, two runs scored, three RBI, two walks and a stolen base in 17-7 win over Lincoln on Wednesday.

    Jaime Haase, Tumwater softball — Hit two home runs and drove in four runs in win over Shelton on Wednesday.

    Justine Hopkins, Tahoma softball — Threw a five-inning no-hitter in win over Kent-Meridian, striking out 10.

    Miken Jacobsen, Orting softball — Hit two home runs and drove in eight runs in win over Foss on Friday.

    London Kim, Stadium softball — Drove in four runs on four hits in win over Auburn on Tuesday.

    Jasmyn Polanco, Timberline softball — Threw seven innings in win over Yelm on Tuesday, allowing six hits, two earned runs, two walks and striking out eight.

    Sami Potvin, Olympia softball — Threw nine innings in win over Sumner, allowing seven hits, three earned runs, a walk and striking out 16.

    Abygale Redwine, Emerald Ridge softball — Drove in seven runs on four hits in win over Curtis on Monday, tallying three doubles and a triple.

    Maddie Repp, Bethel softball — Hit two home runs and drove in six runs in win over Curtis on Friday.

    Averie Reynolds, Black Hills softball — Went 2-for-4 with a run scored, a walk and three RBI in win over North Thurston on Wednesday.

    Lily Rice, Tahoma softball — Went 3-for-4 with a run scored and five RBI in win over Kent-Meridian.

    Kiley Sledge, Franklin Pierce softball — Went 4-for-5 with three runs scored and three RBI in win over Orting on Tuesday.

    Sara Smith, Eatonville softball — Drove in four runs on two hits in win over Tenino on Friday. Earned the win on the mound also, going six innings, allowing four hits, three earned runs, four walks and striking out five.

    Melanie Spivey, Curtis softball — Hit for the cycle in win over Bellarmine, going 5-for-5 with two triples, a home run, a single, double, a walk, six runs scored and six RBI.

    Jo Thompson, Kentridge softball — Threw a three-hit complete game in win over Decatur, striking out 13, giving up two walks and two earned runs in seven innings of work.

    Kaitlyn Vert, Kentwood softball — Threw a five-inning no-hitter in win over Federal Way, striking out eight and allowing two walks.
