SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — You can watch all things dinosaurs, but better.

The Syracuse Orchestra will have a live showing of the original Jurassic Park film, while they play along to the music as you see it on screen.

The performance will be on Saturday, May 18, at 7:30 p.m. at the Crouse Hinds Theater.

The action-packed adventure pits man against prehistoric predators in the ultimate battle for survival. Featuring visually stunning imagery and groundbreaking special effects, this epic film is sheer movie magic 65 million years in the making, said the Syracuse Orchestra.

The movie will be projected in HD.

    Sean O’Loughlin will conduct.

“Bring the family – kids under 18 are free! – and grab some popcorn at the concession,” Pam Murchison, The Syracuse Orchestra’s executive director, said. “Take the wild, adventurous, and sometimes terrifying ride through Jurassic Park with live, symphonic music enhancing the already awesome experience. This is as all-encompassing a movie event, as you’ll ever have. Don’t miss it!”

This cinematic event is an exciting finish to The Syracuse Orchestra’s 11th concert season.
