S.C. man arrested after human remains found in burnt car amid search for his missing girlfriend
BAMBERG COUNTY, S.C. (TCD) -- Officials charged a 28-year-old man after he allegedly killed his missing 25-year-old girlfriend and tried to burn her remains. According to the Bamberg County Sheriff's Office, Megan Bodiford was last seen on Thursday, April 25, in Denmark, South Carolina. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) said several days later, on April 30, authorities found human remains in a burnt vehicle off of Turn Ray Road.

Beaufort Memorial Hospital held its sixth graduation and pinning ceremony for more than 20 PATH (People Achieving Their Highest) graduates (including the program’s first two registered nurses) and celebrated the signing of 23 employees who will enter the program.
University of South Carolina - Salkehatchie celebrates 52nd commencement
The University of South Carolina Salkehatchie celebrated its 52nd commencement at its Allendale campus on April 26. The University awarded 135 degrees, including 116 associate degrees and 19 bachelor’s degrees, which were presented through the University of South Carolina’s Palmetto College and in partnership with other USC campuses. The graduates represented 4 states and 52 cities and included 21 high school students. One graduate maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA while earning her degree.
OTC students studying abroad in Germany
Three Ogeechee Technical College students are currently in Germany for three weeks, April 27 – May 18, 2024 as part of an exchange program with Leopold-Hoesch Berufskolleg, a vocational college in Dortmund. Daniel Maulden and Bryce Costlow, Automotive Technology students, and Jacob Flannery, a Manufacturing Engineering Technology student, will gain valuable experience studying and shadowing in industries in the Dortmund community.
