Two upcoming community baby showers celebrate and inform new parents
Two community baby showers are taking place in Statesboro this spring. The first event is this Saturday, April 27, 2024, and the next one is Saturday, May 4, 2024. Both events are free and will offer expecting parents or resources, information, and lots of giveaways to help them welcome their new additions to the community. Restoring the Breach and Amerigroup, Inc. are hosting a free community baby shower on April 27, 2024 at the Russell Union Ballroom on the Georgia Southern University campus from 11am to 2pm. Participants can register here for more information or email info@restoringthebreach.org. The Russell Union Ballroom is located at 85 Georgia Ave., Statesboro, GA, 30458. Then, on May 4th, Prevent Child Abuse Bulloch and South Georgia Healthy Start are partnering to host a Bump and Beyond Community Baby Shower. The event will focus on providing information about maternal health while providing free food, resources, and giveaways. GS Golf's late rally comes up just short at Sun Belt Championship
The Georgia Southern men's golf team fired a final-round 285 to charge up the leaderboard on the final day of the Sun Belt Championship, but fell just short of making the top four to advance to match play at Annandale Golf Club. Led by a top-10 finish from Parker Claxton, the Eagles concluded play at +18 for the three rounds to place seventh.
