STOWE, Vt. (WCAX) - Vermont transportation officials say they are moving ahead with a plan to prevent the perennial problem of stuck trucks on the Notch Road. Flowers in Stowe mean the Notch Road will be opening in a matter of weeks. The narrow mountain road connecting Stowe to Cambridge is heavily traveled all summer by tourists and residents alike.

Plattsburgh family donates $125K toward new YMCA building
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. — A North Country family has made a big donation to help with the construction of a new YMCA in the Lake City. Loretta and Wouter J. Rietsema of Plattsburgh announced on Wednesday that they are donating $125,000 to the construction of Plattsburgh's newest YMCA, which is on the site of the former CVPH Wellness Center.
