    Long Neck sewer project on county agenda

    GEORGETOWN — The Long Neck communities sewer expansion project, described as contract S21-10 by the county, is scheduled appear before the Sussex County Council on April 30 as part of a $1.225 million bond issue for changes to the Warwick Park project and connected projects.

    The bond issue is to cover changes in the Long Neck sewer, Cannon Road drainage improvements and constructed wetlands, Joy Beach sewer expansion and Wolf Neck Regional WWF electrical service and switchgear replacement. No cost breakdown for each project is provided on the agenda, but will likely be made public with the publication of the packet, usually later this week.

    According to the county, the project consists of approximately 13,400 lineal feet of eight inch gravity sewer main, 7,900 lineal feet of six inch gravity sewer laterals, 415 vertical feet of four inch sanitary sewer manhole; 110 vertical feet of five foot diameter sanitary sewer manhole and a pump station with duplex submersible grinder pumps with approximately 1,800 lineal feet of three inch force main.
