Opening date announced for Harris Teeter in Nexton

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – Harris Teeter announced Thursday an opening date for its new store in the Nexton community.

The grocery store with fuel center is slated to open on Tuesday, May 14 at 4:00 p.m. on Nexton Parkway.

After a ribbon-cutting ceremony, shoppers will be invited to enjoy complimentary food samples, listen to live music, and see the iconic Oscar Mayer Weinermobile. There will also be a four-night laser and light show as part of the opening celebration.

The new Harris Teeter location will feature a cheese island, full-service Starbucks with seating for up to 18 people, store-made pizza, subs and hot bars, and a craft wine and beer bar.

There will also be expanded meat and seafood departments and more.

Harris Teeter said its new store in Nexton will also be home to a fuel center, which will offer several specials including:

• 2X fuel points from May 14 through July 9
• $0.40 off fuel Friday, May 17 – Sunday, May 19
• $0.20 off fuel Monday, May 20 through the following weekend May 28
• 1,000 FREE fuel points loaded to your account for transferring a pharmacy script (Feb. 1-Aug. 31)

While the store will open at 4:00 p.m., regular store hours start Wednesday, May 15 from 6:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.
